The nude figure attracts me greatly as a painter because of the intimacy of the subject matter.  When I paint nudes, I focus, not on the person, as much as the feeling of intimacy the naked form evokes.  As with my paintings of interiors, the colors and textures of my figurative paintings often predominate over form.
